The Salt Lake Mayor's Bicycle Advisory Committee seeks concerned citizens to apply for the board and serve their communities as we work towards our goal of implementing bicycle infrastructure throughout Salt Lake County.

Executive Committee: This committee is composed of the Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, the First Past Chair and members of the County Mayor’s office overseeing the Bicycle Advisory Committee. Responsibilities include setting the monthly agendas, analyzing proposals and requests made to the committee, reviewing board applications, and reporting information with the County Mayor’s office.
Budget Committee: This committee tracks expenditure of the annual SLCBAC budget and provides monthly reports to the committee and Mayor’s office. The Chair of this committee also receives the Purchasing Request and Funding Request forms and forwards them to the County financial department for approval.
Strategic Plan Committee: Working with both members of SLCBAC’s board and the public, this committee oversees development and implementation of the Strategic Plan as it pertains to the County’s master plan for infrastructure and the Salt Lake Bicycle Advisory Committee’s overall goals to advise the County Mayor on all matters bicycle-related. Map Committee: Working with the community and several Salt Lake County institutions, this group is dedicated to the development of a comprehensive county-wide bicycle routes map. Using data gathered from several GIS sources, the results will be combined in a physical and digital format available free to the public. Communications Committee: This committee determines the media outlets the County Bicycle Advisory Committee uses to reach the public and communicate with other organizations. It also analyzes the cost of generating media, placing advertisement and development of merchandise for distribution. Press releases, public announcements and social media/website appearance are areas of focus as well.
