Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art and a tool for daily life. The goal of Aikido is to solve problems by finding peaceful solutions wherever possible. Aikido philosophy shows students how to avoid direct opposition when attacked. The movements are natural and do not require extraordinary skill or flexibility. Techniques never meet strength with strength so women can participate on equal terms with men. Real skill in Aikido lies in coordinating mind and body. Benefits of regular training include increased concentration, calmness, confidence, balance, self-awareness, and coordination. No experience is necessary.
