What does the Youth EmployAbility Services Program do, who is eligible, and how do I apply?
The Youth Employability Services (YES) Program assists 14 to 21- year-old young people who are U.S. citizens or permanent resident aliens from low-income and otherwise disadvantaged families or circumstances (pregnant or parenting, low math or reading skills, in foster care, etc.) to explore and make decisions on careers and succeed in the workforce or to get a high school diploma or equivalent. Available services include tutoring, work experience, leadership development opportunities, support services such as transpiration and child care, mentoring from caring adults, help finding financial aid for vocational training, and follow-up services.
