WINTER INDOOR SOCCER
This is a recreation program designed to allow players to develop their soccer skills year-round in a fun, comfortable environment. We offer leagues for all youth from Pre-K (at least 3 years old) through 6th grade. Two games are played each week - one on a weeknight and the other one on Saturdays at either the Kearns Recreation Center or Kearns High School beginning February 28, 2015.
SALT LAKE BEES SPRING TEEBALL & COACH-PITCH BASEBALL
Salt Lake Bees TeeBall and Coach Pitch Baseball is for all youth 3 to 8 years old. This recreational baseball program is designed to teach the fundamentals of baseball and promote sportsmanship in a fun, fair environment.
- TeeBall is for youth 3 to 6 years old
- Coach Pitch for youth 7 and 8 years old.
Two games will be played each week - one on a weeknight evening and the other on Saturdays at the Oquirrh Park baseball fields next to Beehive Elementary School - approximately 5655 South 5220 West - beginning April 11, 2015.
DIG-IT! SPRING YOUTH VOLLEYBALL
DIG-IT! VOLLEYBALL is an instructional youth volleyball program designed to focus on learning the basics and improving skills. Dig-It! Volleyball is for all youth in 3rd through 8th grades beginning with an instructional clinic on April 11, 2015. All practices and games will be held at Kearns High School, 5525 South Cougar Lane (4800 West).
- Grades 3 - 5 will practice and play on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
- Grades 6 - 8 will practice and play on Mondays and Saturdays.
SPRING OUTDOOR SOCCER
Outdoor Soccer is one of our most popular programs so register early to reserve your spot! This program is for all youth from Pre-K (at least 3 years old) through 12th grade. The 7th-9th grade all-girls or co-ed leagues are west-side travel leagues. The 9th-12th grade travel leagues will depend on registrations. Each team will play two games each week - one on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening and the other on Saturday beginning April 11, 2015. Games will be played at the Oquirrh Park Soccer Fields (5850 South 4800 West); travel league games will be played at various west-side locations.
HEAD INJURY POLICY - In March of 2011, Governor Gary Herbert signed HB 204 into law. This bill, known as the "Protection of Athletes with Head Injuries Act" requires all parents / legal guardians to receive a copy of our policy outlining procedures for protecting young athletes. Come learn to create your own "masterpieces!" Art Classes are for all girls and boys ages 8 to 12 years old. Students will be learning basic drawing skills including sketching, drawing and painting. No previous art experience is necessary. Materials are provided except students will need to provide their own sketchbook to display their artwork.
GET UP AND DANCE! Our newly revised monthly dance program for all youth ages 3 to 12. Two classes are offered on Tuesday evenings:
Mini Dance Class for ages 3-5 runs from 6:15 to 7:00pm and is an introduction to dance. Young Dancers will learn the basics of rhythm and movement in a fun environment.
Junior Dance Class for ages 6-12 runs from 7:00 to 8:00pm and is designed for beginners and experienced dancers alike! This class is designed to build technique, self-esteem, teamwork and performing skills.
Callie Short, our new dance teacher, comes with years of dance and choreography experience and is excited to take this program to the next level!
Olympic Style Tae Kwon Do
A children’s program to help your child not only increase their fitness, flexibility and strength, but will also boost their confidence and self-discipline all while having fun!
Our adult program offers a workout that includes strength training, physical conditioning, flexibility, self-discipline, and street smarts put together in a comprehensive program.
