JR. JAZZ YOUTH BASKETBALL
Our Jr. Jazz Youth Basketball program is one of our most popular youth sports programs so register early to reserve your spot! We offer recreation leagues for all youth in Kindergarten through 8th grade and a senior girls league for grades 9-12. Games are played on Saturdays at local gymnasiums beginning December 3. HEAD INJURY POLICY - In March of 2011, Governor Gary Herbert signed HB 204 into law. This bill, known as the "Protection of Athletes with Head Injuries Act" requires all parents / legal guardians to receive a copy of our policy outlining procedures for protecting young athletes. Get Up & Dance! Come join our newly revised dance program! Classes for youth ages 3 and up will be held on Tuesday evenings at the Kearns Recreation Center.
Ages 3-5 Introduction to Dance and Movement - 5:45 to 6:30 P.M. NOTE: 3 year olds will be admitted initially on a trial basis. This class is designed to introduce dance and movement. Students will learn the basics in dance technique as well as be introduction to choreography while they explore the elements of dance.
Ages 6-9 Beginning Ballet - 6:30 to 7:30 P.M. This class is designed to introduce the basics of ballet. We will focus on building a strong foundation for the student as a growing dancer. Students will learn basic ballet techniques and incorporate them into choreography.
NEW CLASS! Ages 10 + Beginning / Intermediate Dance - 7:30 to 8:30 P.M. This class will explore basic techniques in different styles of dance, mostly including ballet, jazz and modern dance. Students will use skills in coordination, balance, flexibility, movement, memory and musicality to become more diversified dancers.

A children’s program to help your child not only increase their fitness, flexibility and strength, but will also boost their confidence and self-discipline all while having fun!
Our adult program offers a workout that includes strength training, physical conditioning, flexibility, self-discipline, and street smarts put together in a comprehensive program.
