The 2300 East Town Center project was initiated to study the creation of possible neighborhood and/or business centers along 2300 East at 3300 South, I-80, and other possible locations. After a series of meetings and hearings, the public process has been completed. The plan has been approved by the Millcreek community councils, planning commission, and the County Council. Future decisions on the plan will be made by Millcreek City leaders.

The demographics and economy of the area have changed and outgrown the existing land uses that have been in effect since their creation in the 1970’s, or earlier. The Millcreek General Plan, which is the guiding document for the future of the area, needs to be updated to reflect
current demographics and community desires.
The Office of Township Services secured grant funding to study the feasibility of creating neighborhood/business centers along 2300 East and to work with the community to incorporate their needs and desires in a future update of the Millcreek General Plan. Public meetings have been held to
gather ideas, comments, concerns, and present the analysis and recommendations to the community.
