The Giving Tree

Celebrate the Season of Giving with Aging & Adult Services

gifts surrounded by wrapping paper

What is The Giving Tree?

Giving Tree time is once again upon us! Every year, AAS partners with the community to bring a little holiday cheer to homebound older adults in Salt Lake County.

We gather holiday gift requests from our most vulnerable clients and pass them on to caring donors, who then return gifts to us to be delivered by our teams.

This year we are doing things a little differently. In support of statewide efforts to combat COVID-19, we are asking donors to give a gift card (suggested amount of $25) and an adult sized blanket rather than making special shopping trips for personalized gifts.

We hope this will help to reduce the chances of contributing to coronavirus community spread.

How to Participate

1. Visit the Giving Tree in the Salt Lake County Government Center South Atrium (2001 S. State Street)  or email roclark@slco.org to reserve a name.

2. Bring gifts to Aging & Adult Services (Suite S1-600) or call (385) 468-3191 to arrange for curbside drop off by December 11th. Please place your gifts in a gift bag and leave them unwrapped.

The 2020 Giving Tree is sponsored by AARP Utah. We thank them for their generosity.
