Candidate #11; Desmond
My name is Desmond and I am a 6-year-old Siberian Husky. My earliest memory is being a scared, confused, homeless pet taken to a strange place with lots of other animals behind chain link fences. It seemed to take a very long time, but with the help of many kind humans, I finally got to meet my furever mom and dad. I loved my family immediately, but it did take me some time to get comfortable around my rescue siblings Millie (grey tabby), Jack (orange tabby) and Marco (husky mix), but now I love letting my full personality out! My mom and dad describe me as equal parts sweet, handsome, smart, goofy and sophisticated.
I am an active boy who loves going for walks, chomping on dandelions, hiking, playing keep away with my squeaky ball, tugging and tearing apart my stuffed animals, cuddling and napping. My only dislike is being brushed, although it does make me look handsome. I look forward to your vote and promise to be a pawsitive representative for all homeless pets and misunderstood breeds as Salt Lake County Pet Mayor!
Every dollar raised by Desmond’s campaign will go into the Injured Animal Fund. Help homeless animals heal so they can find a HOME!
