Candidate #6; Stevie
Stevie is a blind pit bull. He and two of his sisters were dropped off at a local shelter at 5 weeks old. The blindness is probably because of inbreeding. Despite his handicap, Stevie is a very happy guy who loves being out in the world, meeting new people and dogs. He passed the CGC test and is part of a Pet Partners team through Therapy Animals of Utah. When he isn't lounging on the couch or playing at the dog park, he's volunteering as a therapy dog at the Volunteers of America Detox Center in Salt Lake.
Lou (short for Lt. Dan) came to us as a little pup from Louisiana. He had suffered a spinal injury and had limited use of back legs. Luckily, he ended up with a local rescue group that helped him get to Salt Lake City. Today he loves to play, meet new people, and go for walks in his dog wheelchair.
Every dollar raised by Stevie and Lou’s campaign will go into the Injured Animal Fund. Help homeless animals heal so they can find a HOME!
