Candidate #1; Sully
Hi, my name is Sully! I am a big, friendly boy who has been through a lot in my life. I spent close to a year with my friends at Salt Lake County Animal Services, where I loved having shelves to climb.
My HuMom is a volunteer at SLCoAS who wanted to adopt a friend for her current cat, Caesar. She would visit with me every week and bring me treats, which I LOVED! She brought me home on June 23, 2014 where I met my furry brother, Caesar, and my HuDad. I love my HuDad more than anyone in the world. I will always give him chin licks and snuggle with him, but it took me a while to warm up.
I have been around humans that weren’t very nice to me, but now I know I am safe in my forever home. My favorite things are the sunny spot on the back of the couch, my HuDad’s scratchy chin, and Meow Mix treats.
After about 6 months in my new home, my parents noticed that I was really thirsty and using the litterbox a lot more than usual. We found out I have diabetes and chronic pancreatitis! Now I take a few pills and get insulin shots when I eat, and I feel so much better. I am happy, sweet, and the perfect candidate for mayor. I have been through so much in my life and can advocate for kind treatment of animals, loving a special needs animal (trust me, we’re worth it), and the benefits of adopting multiple animals for companionship and interaction.
Every dollar raised by Sully’s campaign will go into the Injured Animal Fund. Help homeless animals heal so they can find a HOME!
