What is Archeoastronomy? Honestly, if you started imagining the last Indiana Jones movie, you are in the neighborhood of correct. But unlike that horrible mess, I’m going to show you some pretty cool ways that the people on our planet studied the sky. From graves to temples to simple observatories, the people who lived on Earth thousands of years ago built some amazing structures to help them watch the stars. We will talk about a couple of them, including the Sun Dagger at Fajada Butte and the solstice graves at Newgrange (along with a few more).

Join us for this week’s Night Vision on Saturday November 24th, 2018. Tickets are just $2.00 per person for the general public, and free for members of Clark Planetarium. Get your tickets now.
