Clark Planetarium's Hansen Dome is a dome-shaped theater with a 55-foot diameter and a 360-degree immersive viewing experience. We have several live special events featured each month. DomeLab Clark Planetarium is an open monthly meetup for artists to stretch their creativity on our dome screens. DomeLab is open to anyone interested in creating and collaborating on projects of all types: digital artists, painters, musicians, DJs, VJs, photographers or even programmers. Just bring your creativity and materials and our production techs will help guide your full-dome creative exploration.DomeLab meetups are free and take place every month. Night Vision takes place under our dome sky and is performed live by our planetarium experts. The show focuses on a special topic each week and explores new ways to see the cosmos, from discoveries on Mars to worlds outside our solar system, Black Holes, space exploration, and the changing of seasons.

Gateway to the Stars takes place under our dome sky and is performed live by our planetarium experts. The show highlights the noteworthy astronomical sights and current events in an informal, conversational setting. It features animation, full-dome CG, and deep-space photography to illustrate the physiognomy of the night sky in our high-resolution, digital planetarium. We’ll discuss practical considerations of observing the sky with or without a telescope; this is also a great place to bring any questions you’ve ever had about astronomy and stargazing.
