Candidate Petition Drop Off Instructions
For the safety of our staff and the public, The County Government Center has been closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19. However, we are still working and providing essential services.
The Clerk’s Election Division is aware that you will need to turn in your petitions and voter registration forms to our office.
Please use the ballot drop box at The County Government Center (2001 South State Street) to deposit your documents while our offices are closed. The ballot drop box (open 24/7) is located north east of the South Building of the Government Center adjacent to the parking lot. Staff members will be picking up documents from the ballot drop box on a regular basis.
If you are a candidate turning in petitions packets for Senate 10, Representative 45, Representative 42, Representative 36, Representative 33 or Representative 30, you must date and time stamp the front page of each petition packet so we know the order in which they were turned in.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office.
Thank you for your understanding at this time.
