Political Action and Political Issues Committees

  • In Salt Lake County, a Political Action Committee ("PAC") or Political Issue Committee ("PIC") must file a statement of organization (see links for forms below) within seven (7) days of receiving contributions totality or in excess of seven hundred fifty dollars ($750) or making any disbursements in excess of fifty dollars ($50). The PAC or PIC is required to file a written statement of organization either within the Lieutenant Governor of the State of Utah stating that such a committee has been created or with the Salt Lake County Clerk's Office.

    If a PAC or PIC files a statement of organization with the State of Utah, Salt Lake County ordinance does not require filing with the County.

    A PAC or PIC may file its financial disclosure reports using the online reporting tool or file using the forms provided below. To file using the online reporting tool, please complete the Online Finance Disclosure Authorization Form provided below. If using the forms, please be sure reports are submitted by hand delivery, facsimile (385-468-7401), email ( GOT-VOTE@slco.org), or U.S. mail (must be postmarked at least 3 days prior to the deadline) by 5:00 p.m. on the reporting deadline date.
