Youth Learn to Play Hockey April-May 2021

April 19, 2021 - May 24, 2021

Days and Times:

5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

The Learn to Play instructional hockey program provides beginning level players with basic skating and hockey skills. The goal of the Learn to Play program is to take kids with little to no hockey experience and prepare them to play in the Salt Lake County Youth Hockey League.

Players should have some basic skating skills before signing up for the learn to play program. It is recommended that players take at least one semester of the learn to skate program either before or concurrently with learn to play.

Equipment Requirements:

Some basic minimal hockey equipment is required to participate in the Learn to Play Hockey Program.

Required equipment includes:

Hockey Skates (available to rent from the rink at no additional cost)
Hockey helmet and face mask (available to rent from the rink at no additional cost)
Hockey gloves
Hockey stick
Elbow pads
Hockey shin guards

Required equipment is available for purchase new through the ice center's pro shop (see "program information" flyer for pricing) or any hockey equipment retailer.
