You can help: Get Crafty for our Community!
Here’s how you can help:
What? Make and donate fabric face coverings for our Salt Lake County community. Please refer to CDC guidelines for DIY designs and acceptable material. Only clean, washed fabric should be used.
When? Immediately! The sooner we can get the coverings, the better. Official face masks (surgical and N95) must be reserved for front-line health care workers.
Where? This is an easy activity to do from the convenience of your home while following the County’s Stay Safe, Stay Home directive. Convenient drop-off locations are set up around the county (see below). Please try to combine drop-offs with other essential trips, such as grocery or medication runs, in order to minimize leaving your house. While drop-offs are strongly preferred, if you are unable to leave your home, you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange for pickup.
Why? Creating our own face coverings will help decrease demand on supply chain and meet our large community need. You might just discover unknown craft skills in the process!
Please look for large, grey recycling receptacles with the dropoff flyer as shown set up to collect the face coverings.
