Criminal Justice Advisory Council (CJAC) 
The mission of CJAC is to create crime reduction strategies for Salt Lake County.

District Attorney's Office 
The SLCoDistrict Attorney's Office (DA's Office) is committed to keeping our community a safe and inviting place to live. The office serves as a driving force for many initiatives and programs that work to reduce crime, protect innocent victims, and enhance the lives of County residents.

Human Services Department 
The SLCoHuman Services Department is responsible for developing and promoting programs that improve the quality of life in the County and are economical, effective, and accessible.

Metro Jail 
The mission of the Salt Lake County Jail is to protect the public through the booking and detention of individuals who pose a danger to society, provide humane care to those incarcerated, and facilitate programs which will assist them in avoiding future criminal activity.

Sheriff's Office 
The Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office, in partnership with the community, proactively protects and serves the community through progressive, comprehensive, and cost-effective law enforcement, corrections initiatives and court services.

Behavioral Health Services 
The SLCoDivision of Behavioral Health Services administers substance abuse Prevention, Treatment services, and Mental Health Services under the direction of the Local Authority (County Council) in Salt Lake County. These services constitute the largest program in Utah for substance abuse and mental health treatment.

Youth Services 
SLCoYouth Services provides children, youth and families in crisis with immediate safety, shelter and support.

University of Utah - Utah Criminal Justice Center - Studies 
To date the UCJC has conducted over 40 studies of the criminal justice system.  These studies have assisted decision makers within our state as they develop policy and statutes to govern the criminal justice system.
