What is a Project Area?

Project Areas are identified as being a good investment for housing or business development.  A private developer may apply to receive a tax increment in exchange for a projected long-term financial and community benefit that will result from the project.  Project Areas are often used to revitalize blighted areas of a community.

There are certain guidelines that project areas must meet for approval from Salt Lake County and the appropriate redevelopment agency
