All executive employees and primary responders should complete the following Incident Command System (ICS) courses. These courses are managed through FEMA and participants are *not* tracked by the Employees' University.
IS-100: Introduction to Incident Command System (ICS) course.This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and
provides the foundation for higher levels of ICS training.
IS-200.a: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents course.This course is designed to enable personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the Incident Command System (ICS). ICS-200 provides training on and resources for personnel who are likely
to assume a supervisory position within the ICS.
IS-700.a: An Introduction to the National Incident Management Systems (NIMS).This course introduces the National Incident Management System (NIMS). NIMS provides a consistent nationwide template to enable all government, private-sector, and nongovernmental organizations to
work together during domestic incidents.
IS-800.b: Introduction to the National Response Framework course.This course introduces participants to the concepts and principles of the National Response Framework. It is intended for government executives, private-sector and nongovernmental organization (NGO) leaders, and emergency
