Mayor McAdams gathered together community leaders from around the country on January 22, 2015 to talk about the
Pay For Success
program model and the value of Collective Impact. Collective Impact is about bringing diverse community leaders and organizations together to work collectively towards the same goal.
About 200 people attended the symposium in which guest speakers from the private and non-profit sectors presented on innovative ways to build healthy communities and the value of Collective Impact partnerships.

. Ian Galloway of the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank moderated the panel discussion and

Author William Eggers
was the symposium's keynote speaker. Mr. Eggers talked about his most recent book
The Solution Revolution
which explores partnerships between the government, non-profit, and private sectors to tackle social issues.
Salt Lake County Human Services
Director Lori Bays discussed
Social Determinants of Health
as a launch into the broader discussion of using this data in program development to improve the health and safety of Salt Lake County residents. She then presented on taking the next step:
Moving from Discussion to Action
Mayor McAdams rounded off the 2015 Winter Innovation Symposium by thanking all those who attended. Mayor McAdams knows that the best outcomes comes from data driven decisions and broad, thoughtful community partnerships.
