Salt Lake County, UT— The Salt Lake County Mayor’s Office is partnering with the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office, the Department of Public Safety, and 100 volunteer attorneys from the Utah State Bar, to host SLCo Fall 2019 Expungement Day.
Salt Lake City, UT - The Salt Lake County Council passed a resolution on Tuesday, sponsored by councilmembers Shireen Ghorbani and Max Burdick, approving that the county moves forward to the next phase of the Community Renewable Energy Act. The Act, which passed the Utah Legislature in 2019, allows participating communities to explore the goal of being powered by 100 percent net renewable energy by 2030.
Mayor Jenny Wilson will present her 2020 Salt Lake County budget plan to the County Council tomorrow morning. The balanced budget, that serves the 1.1 million people living in Salt Lake County, prioritizes public safety and maintaining essential public services.

The money will support coordinated, cross-sector responses to prevent and reduce overdose deaths associated with opioids, including illicit fentanyl.

Salt Lake County’s Refugee Assistance Program for Older Adults and County-Wide Microchipping Program are being recognized with Achievement Awards from The National Association of Counties (NACo). Salt Lake City - Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson will announce the winners of the On the River’s Edge ideas competition at General Holm Park (1050 West Carlisle Park Lane, South Salt Lake) on Thursday, June 27 at 10 a.m. Launched in March, the competition invited architects, planners and artists from across the nation to submit ideas that would reimage a 3.5-mile stretch of the Jordan River Parkway in central Salt Lake County.
