The Refugee Family Childcare Program exists to support potential refugee childcare providers with the training and resources they need to be successful, safe, and quality childcare providers.
This project will teach refugee about state and federal child care laws, regulations and licensing requirements and about American cultural norms concerning child care and child development.
A secondary objective of the program is to expand home-based child care business options for other refugees, to enable them to enter the workforce with confidence that their children are being cared for by individuals possessing appropriate cultural competency. This project will not only open up additional child care opportunities but allow
refugee families to become more self-reliance.
RFCP is intended to support refugees who would like to start an in home-based child care in the following ways:
Our program will stay current on state requirements, rule changes and other news relating to childcare businesses. We want to help you succeed and provide accurate information about things that affect you and your business.
Participation is based on eligibility.
