Salt Lake County Announces the Public Hearing  & Public Comment Period For Recommendations on the 2015-2016 Federal Funding

WHAT:  Salt Lake Urban County Mayors seek public comment on proposed 2015-16 projects to be funded with federal dollars and the 2015-19 Consolidated Plan

WHEN:  Public Hearing:  Monday, April 6, 3015 at 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Public Comment Period:  March 31 – April 30, 2015

WHERE:  Salt Lake County County Council Chambers, 2001 South State Street, First Floor, North Building, Room N1-100

A Public Hearing will be held before the Salt Lake County Mayor and the Mayors of the Town of Alta, Bluffdale, Cottonwood Heights, Draper, Herriman, Holladay, Midvale, Murray, Riverton and South Salt Lake to accept comment on the proposed projects and activities to be undertaken with 2015-16 federal funds under the following programs:  

  • Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
  • Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
  • HOME Investment Partnership Grant (HOME)
  • Social Services Block Grant (SSBG)

Prior to making final decisions, the Mayors’ will consider and review all comments received at the public hearing as well as funding recommendations provided by the three Citizen Advisory Boards.

Comments will be accepted on the draft 2015-2019 Five Year Consolidated Plan through April 30, 2015.  This Five Year Plan guides the expenditures for the following grants:  CDBG, ESG, HOME & SSBG.
