SALT LAKE COUNTY, UT—Interested in cosplay but not sure where to start? The County Library is offering a series of free cosplay classes for teens in June and July. The classes are presented by professional cosplayer Moonchild, and are open to both new and more experienced students.

"These classes are a great opportunity for teens who have never cosplayed before and have no idea where to begin," says Liz Thompson, a public services librarian. "Cosplay tools and supplies will be on hand at each class so the students can learn how to make simple, awesome costumes."

In addition to learning more about cosplay, attendees may also use the feedback in the classes to prepare their cosplay for ToshoCON, the August teen anime event, and its accompanying cosplay contest.
