SALT LAKE COUNTY, UT— Mark your calendars for the County Library’s Diagon Alley, a series of magical events for kids, teens and families. Starting June 12, various library locations will transform into magical shops, offering wand-making classes, a potions-themed scavenger hunt, magical creature crafts and wizard jokes.

"The Diagon Alley events offer entertainment for patrons of all ages, regardless of whether or not they’ve read the Harry Potter books," says Heidi-Marie Anderson, a youth services librarian at the County Library. "You don’t have to be a Harry Potter fan to enjoy making a wand or going on a scavenger hunt."

Diagon Alley events are open to anyone, whether or not they were chosen in the random lottery to attend the County Library’s new one-day Outstanding Wizarding Levels (O.W.L.) Camp, which will take place in July.
