SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah—The state’s largest convention to connect local authors will take place at the Salt Lake County Library’s Viridian Event Center.

Attendees will mingle with more than 60 authors and participate in writing workshops led by some of the area’s most-prestigious writers. Books will be available for purchase and signing throughout the event.

“Utah has a supportive climate for writers and to bring so many authors together is exciting,” Librarian Liesl Seborg said. “Anyone who has ever dreamed of writing their own book can learn from these local authors in our community.”

The kickoff and reception Friday will feature “Battle of the Genres,” a three-person debate aimed to persuade audience members to cheer for one of three literary genres. May the best genre win!

Also new this year, attendees may participate in one or more of our panel discussions on Saturday, focusing on industry trends, writing for kids, genre blending, self-publishing and author influences.

This event is free and open to the public. More information, including a schedule of events, can be found at
