New Construction Scheduled to Make Way for New Kearns Branch

SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah—Plans for the new County Library in Kearns are underway and, in an effort to build economically and as quickly as possible, we will be closing the current Kearns branch effective Monday, December 24.

Closing the Kearns branch gives contractors the appropriate space needed to safely construct the new branch and also moves up the completion timeline. The shorter timeline is important to us, because it means we will be able to resume library services sooner.

During the closure, Kearns’ staff will provide support throughout the County Library and patrons will be invited to visit surrounding branches.

Kearns community members and businesses are strong supporters and users of the County Library and we cannot wait to welcome them into the new 35,000 square foot branch in 2020.
