Sample New Cultures at the County Library’s Cooking & Conversation Event

SALT LAKE COUNTY, UT — The public is invited to connect with new cultures through Cooking & Conversation, an event offered in partnership with United We Read SLC at the County Library’s Tyler branch on February 27.

“This year’s United We Read SLC Book selection, The Book of Unknown Americans by Cristina Henríquez, highlights the role food plays in bringing communities together and evoking memories of home, even when home is hundreds of miles away,” said Liz Sollis, marketing & communications manager at the County Library. “Our goal with this event is to unite the community with food, conversation and culture.”

Attendees may bring a recipe to share that represents their family heritage or background and sample food from local ethnic restaurants.
