Historic Fairy Tales and Their Impact on Modern Times with Dr. Karin Baumgartner at the County Library

Taylorsville, UT – From oral to written to visual and digital storytelling, historic fairy tales continue to play an influential role in all of our lives. Dr. Karin Baumgartner will be at the County Library’s Taylorsville Branch on March 29 to discuss historic fairy tales – how to read them and their impact on modern culture.

Dr. Baumgartner is a professor of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Utah and she is the author of multiple books and articles on the culture of Romantic Germany. Baumgartner regularly teaches the course “From Grimm to Disney” and introduces students to the mystery of the Brothers Grimm.

This author event is free and open to the public.
