Close out Summer Reading with a Rockin’ Storytime at the County Library
Tavin Stucki -
SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah—The County Library will welcome special guests David (Gruber) Allen and Lupé Carranza for a Rockin’ Storytime at the Smith branch.
“We’re really excited to have Gruber and Lupé for this,” Librarian Vern Waters said. “It will be fun for kids and parents to see these two in person after seeing them on television or in the movies—all while learning about music, reading and singing at this musical storytime.”
Rockin’ Storytime attendees will have the opportunity to sing, read, and interact with Allen and Carranza. This event is free and open to the public, but a ticket is required—visit the welcome desk at Smith branch for details.
Allen and Carranza are television and film actors with many credits in both comedy and drama. In addition, Carranza currently performs live with The Damselles—a rock-n-soul trio that performs with Tom Kenny & The Hi-Seas. The pair will combine with the County Library’s own Bernadette LeRoy of Smith branch and Waters of South Jordan branch to form a one-time band performance at the Rockin’ Storytime.
