Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson, as well as Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation leadership, are pleased to announce the official ribbon cutting of the recently renovated Mick Riley Golf Course Clubhouse and Café in Murray. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Renovations to the golf course, which was initially built in 1967, were completed in late 2019; however, because of COVID restrictions, the ribbon cutting was postponed.

Funded by a taxpayer-approved ZAP bond, this project replaced the existing clubhouse with a new clubhouse, café, and cart barn. Additionally, the renovations included a full remodel of the nine-hole and par three courses’ irrigation systems, adding new pump stations to increase water management efficiencies and conservation.

BACKGROUND: Designed by Mick Riley in 1963, the golf course was originally going to be named Little Valley Golf Course. Riley passed away prior to the course’s completion and, in his honor, the course was named after him. Mick Riley Golf Course is a nine-hole and par-3 course that stands out as an excellent beginning course.
