Needs Assessment
Community Needs Assessment
The Community Needs Assessment, conducted every five years, highlights key needs, desires, culture, and social structure of communities across the Salt Lake Valley and is a core component of the master plan. The assessment provides a holistic representation of community needs as opposed to individual representation or special interests.
2017 Needs Assessment
In the fall of 2017, Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation conducted a second needs assessment survey to help further establish priorities for the future development of parks, recreation, golf facilities, programs, and services within your community. Between the mail and online responses, thousands of Salt Lake County residents provided valuable feedback to help guide our decision-making for years to come.
2012 Needs Assessment Results
In 2012 Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation conducted a needs assessment survey of 20,000 residents to help determine recreational facilities, parks, open space, and program priorities for our community. The results of the survey are posted here. The overall report is first with smaller planning areas following.
If you have questions about the findings we would love to talk to you about them. Give us a call at (385) 468-1806 or email us.
