Salt Lake County to Break Ground on New Regional Park in Magna
Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson along with several community leaders will celebrate the beginning of construction on a large regional park in Magna on Wednesday, October 2nd at 10:30 a.m. at the park’s future site located at 4042 South 7200 West.

County Invites Residents to Provide Input on Dog Park Site Plans
After completing the dog park site selection process in 2018, three sites were selected to move forward with concept plan development: Wardle Fields Regional Park (Bluffdale), Lodestone Regional Park (Kearns), and the future Magna Regional Park (Magna). The public is encouraged to examine the site plans for each five-to-ten acre dog park and provide feedback.

Salt Lake County, Millcreek and Holladay Issue Joint Statement on Olympus Hills Park
In 2018, Salt Lake County, Millcreek and Holladay officials were approached by mountain bike advocates about the possibility of installing a bike skills park on the eastern section of Olympus Hills Park in Holladay. After some preliminary feasibility work, the county and its municipal partners worked hard to gauge community interest by soliciting public input – receiving and processing hundreds of comments on both sides of the issue.

Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation has set the date for the closure of Marv Jenson Recreation Center. The facility will cease operations on March 31, 2020.

County to Host Three Open Houses to Discuss Jordan River Water Trail Plan
Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation is hosting three open houses next week to invite the public to comment on the Jordan River Water Trail Master Plan. The project is designed to develop a comprehensive guide for the long-term development and improved safety of the Jordan River as a recreation amenity.

Salt Lake County to Host Open House to Discuss New Regional Park in South Jordan
The public is invited to an open house to learn more about the updated master plan for Bingham Creek Regional Park on Thursday, March 28 from 6-8 pm. The event, to be held at Golden Fields Elementary School (10252 Split Rock Drive, South Jordan), will provide helpful information to residents regarding the park’s design and Phase I of construction.
