Bruce Field Park

About the Park

Bruce Field Park is a 3.6 acre neighborhood park in Kearns. A former baseball field, the area now offers open space for a variety of outdoor sports. The playground includes accessible surfacing, slides, a climbing dome, and a bulldozer slide structure for younger children.

Historical Information

Dating back to World War II, Bruce Field was as a popular baseball area for soldiers at Camp Kearns to play ball. After the field lost popularity over time, community members and the Pony Baseball League sought to revive the area as a neighborhood park through a new partnership with Salt Lake County. The redeveloped park was completed in 2015.
