Load a Commissary Account

A commissary account is a pre-paid account that allows prisoners to purchase food and pay for phone calls. Friends and family can load a prisoner's commissary account via mail, at the jail, or through the internet.

Instead of loading a commissary account, you may make food purchases directly using the Access SecurePak website which will be delivered to the prisoner.

Payment for prisoners at both the Metro and Oxbow Jails are made at the Metro Jail only.

Hours

Funds may be placed on prisoners' accounts from 7:00 AM through 2:30 PM and from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Certified or cashier's checks must be verified during your bank's business hours before they are deposited.

Note: Personal checks are not accepted. All payments must be in the exact amount desired. No change will be given. Certified checks should be made out to the prisoner

Important Guidelines

• Money orders, cashier checks or a certified bank check must be made out to the prisoner.
• Always remember to write the prisoner's name and SO# on the envelopes and money orders. This expedites delivery of prisoner mail and allows for quicker deposits on the prisoner's account.
• All certified checks, cashier’s checks, and money orders require a 7 day hold before the funds are available for inmate use.

Instructions

1. Look up the prisoner's Sheriff's Office prisoner number (SO#) online or by calling 385-468-8400.
2. Be sure to write the prisoner's SO# on both the envelope and the payment method (if applicable)
3. Write the prisoner SO# and your return address on the envelope. Both are required.
4. Mail the funds to the address below.

Important Guidelines

• Money orders, cashier checks or a certified bank check not made out to the prisoner or lacking a return address of the sender, is contraband and will be placed in the prisoner's property.
• No receipt will be issued for payments made via mail.
• If money is received after a prisoner is released, checks and money orders will be mailed back to the sender. Cash will be added to the prisoner's account balance which the prisoner may request after release from the jail.
• Always remember to write the prisoner's name and SO# on the envelopes and money orders. This expedites delivery of prisoner mail and allows for quicker deposits on the prisoner's account.
• All certified checks, cashier’s checks, and money orders require a 7 day hold before the funds are available for inmate use.
