Why is Salt Lake County assuming operations of the South Jordan Fitness & Aquatics Center?
This transition is part of a partnership between the County and South Jordan City to enhance recreation services in South Jordan. Transferring management of the Fitness Center will allow the City to share ownership of the future Bingham Creek Regional Park, which the County will break ground on this spring. It will also allow Salt Lake County to maintain programming in the area, following the closure of Marv Jenson Recreation Center on March 31.
How does this benefit patrons of the Fitness Center and residents of South Jordan?

Patrons and residents will continue to have a variety of recreation services available from both the City and the County, as well as more options to utilize Salt Lake County Recreation facilities across the valley with our All County Pass option.

What facilities are included in the All County Pass?

If you choose to purchase an All County recreation pass, your pass will include access to each of our Salt Lake County recreation centers, outdoor pools, and ice rinks for public skating.

Is Salt Lake County going to add a lap pool to the Fitness Center?

There are ongoing discussions with the City and Jordan School District, regarding the feasibility of a pool expansion addition. We will keep patrons and residents informed of any developments on the possibility.
