Discovering Possibilities is a 10 week empowerment and education group for teenage girls ages 13 to 17.
This group aims to strengthen young women’s skills in trust, friendships,
positive body image, goals, sexuality, prevention or delay of substance use,
reduced competition, and improved decision-making. It increases girls’ sense of personal agency: their belief in their ability to
control their destiny through the decisions they make.
We are using experiential activities and guided discussions to stimulate critical thinking and moral reasoning. This group promotes an emotionally safe setting and structure within which girls can develop caring relationships and share with their authentic voices. Four sessions are held each year at the Main Campus.
