Recreation

Parks and Recreation operates and maintains parks, trails and open space, golf courses, recreation centers, swimming pools, ice centers, and Wheeler Historic Farm.

Golf

Salt Lake County Parks & Recreation offers quality and affordable golfing experiences at our six regulation courses. Each course is managed by PGA-certified professionals.

Open Space

Salt Lake County prioritizes the preservation of undeveloped areas for the conservation of natural resources and for public access and enjoyment.

Wheeler Historic Farm is a 75-acre working farm and public park with wagon rides, seasonal events, farmers markets, trails, a playground, and more.

Volunteer at the County

Volunteering is a wonderful way to stay active, make new friends, and support your community. There are many volunteer opportunities within the Community Services Department and throughout the County. Contact individual divisions to see if they have opportunities for court-ordered community service.

TRCC Grant Program supports various cultural and recreational projects, like West Valley Skate Park users asking for lights for evening skating.
