Building Healthy Communities
Salt Lake County’s Educational Outcomes: All Salt Lake County children are ready for school, succeed in school, and graduate high school college-and-career ready. Salt Lake County residents of all ages have access to non-formal learning opportunities. See our Education Plan Phase 1 for more information.
The Partnership for a Greater Salt Lake Supporting Early Education Committee is made up of more than 20 community leaders and educators who each play a role in supporting education for our kids. Together, they will agree on an evidence-based outcomes and indicators that can be tracked using data to watch progress on achieving their goals.
Literacy and Education Resources
Salt Lake County is the second site in the country to go forward with a community based initiative – Evidence2Success. The framework was developed by the Annie E. Casey Foundation – a national nonprofit organization dedicated to serving children – to help community residents, schools and local government work together to gather data on the needs and the strengths of local youth. Kearns Evidence2Success is part of Salt Lake County's The Future We Choose in Kearns initiative.
Thank you to all the partners who have joined our Evidence2Success Kearns Community Board!
Neighbors, teachers, civic leaders, parents, service providers and managers who live and work in Kearns have joined forces to improve outcomes for Kearns youth. You can be part of E2S! Volunteer, get the word out, or just sign up for more information.
