New Way to Work Initiative
Welcome to Salt Lake County's New Way to Work Initiative!
The nature of work is changing. Thanks to advances in technology, work is not necessarily bound to a specific time or location. The COVID-19 pandemic brought this reality to Salt Lake County, as employees throughout the organization were forced to work in new ways. For some, this change meant remote or hybrid working for the first time, others had to find new ways to connect with customers either in-person or digitally. With change comes great opportunity, which is why Salt Lake County is embracing the possibilities that come with reimaging how and where we work. This initiative is entitled a New Way to Work. Yes, an aspect of this initiative is hybrid and/or remote work, but it is more than that; a New Way to Work touches every Salt Lake County employee and offers the opportunity to consider “how might we work to better serve our customers, improve the employee experience and impact critical community goals such as air quality?” A New Way to Work is an initiative to define the culture of Salt Lake County for years to come.
