For Providers

Treatment Services are provided to County residents by private, non-profit, and public Salt Lake County agencies. Nationally standardized assessment and placement criteria, along with outcome and process-based performance measures, provide the structure for coordinated services that are grounded in fiscal and clinical accountability. Programs are designed to meet the specific treatment needs of adolescents, pregnant and parenting women, as well as the general population. The Division is active in the support and design of both innovative and traditional treatment modalities, including drug courts and jail-based services.

Funding Opportunities for Treatment Providers

All substance use disorder and mental health treatment services for low-income, uninsured and/or underinsured Salt Lake County residents are provided through a public/private provider relationship. Every six years the Division accepts applications for funding from area behavioral health treatment providers. The Division completed a Request for Applications (RFA) to procure these services in March 2022. The resulting contracts will run through June 30, 2029. If you would like to be added to the distribution list to receive notification of the next RFA, please email your contact information to Jan Barnes (link to email below).

Medicaid services are handled currently through the Division's contracted Managed Care Organization (MCO) Optum Health.

To apply for Recovery Support Services (RSS), formerly known as Access to Recovery (ATR), please go through zoom grants. Select the RSS/ATR application.

For questions regarding contract or bid issues, please contact our Assistant Fiscal Manager Marjeen Nation at (385)468-4723 or via email.
