General Obligation Debt

Following are the amounts of direct Salt Lake County general obligation (G.O.) bonded debt outstanding as of the dates listed. The intended use for this information is to assist governmental entities with reporting "overlapping" debt for their ACFRs. They are required to report the amount of their direct G.O. debt, plus the amount of outstanding debt in other government entities whose geographic area overlaps with them. The outstanding debt in other geographic entities, of which Salt Lake County is one for them, is referred to as "overlapping" debt.
