Request a Media Interview

Salt Lake County Health Department staff members are often regional or even national experts in their respective fields, and they are happy to provide media interviews whenever possible. Note, however, that we are legally prohibited by both HIPAA and the Utah Communicable Disease Control Act from releasing patient information of any kind.

We do not usually have experts available in areas related to individual medical care, such as internal medicine or medical specialties, or in topics related to fields regulated by state, federal, or other local agencies.

We also cannot speak about situations occurring statewide or outside Salt Lake County.

See Related Agencies for suggestions on what agency to contact for frequently requested subjects outside our scope or geographic area.
