Permits

Permits are not transferable; when a change of ownership occurs at a permitted facility, the new owner must apply for a new permit and pay all applicable fees.

Food establishments the health department regulates include:

  • Restaurants
  • Delis (including those within grocery stores)
  • Cafés (including those within retail stores)
  • Mobile food units (trucks, carts, and trailers
  • Cafeterias (that are open to the public)
  • Caterers
  • Concession stands
  • Convenience stores that serve food
  • Temporary food booths at events and festivals
  • Various other businesses and organizations that engage in food preparation and service
