A Chance to Dance

At a recent visit with a family who has a child that is autistic the Parent Educator had planned to do a freeze dance as the Parent Child Activity. Mother said she didn’t think the child would or could do this activity. The Parent Educator said, “well let’s just try and see what happens” and proceeded with the activity. Not only did the child do the activity but she was dancing and freezing throughout the song. The mother was smiling and enjoying watching her child try something new that she didn’t think she would participate in.
