Programs

The Substance Use Disorder Prevention program helps youth and others stop substance use before it begins. We focus on community coalitions, community engagement, and evidence-based programs, practices, and policies. Most of our prevention programs are run through contracted service providers in the community.

Rx Abuse

Misuse of prescription pain medications is an epidemic across the country. Deaths in Utah from prescription opioid overdoses have more than tripled since 1999.

State of Utah strategies include:
