Welcome to Clark Planetarium
Located in downtown Salt Lake City, Clark Planetarium offers an out-of-this-world experience that is a blast for all ages. Clark features 10,000 square feet of exhibit space, as well as the breathtaking full-dome theatre and IMAX theatre. Clark also boasts one of the best science gift stores in northern Utah. For many, Clark Planetarium is the first trip to space, and we hope it won't be the last.
Admission
Salt Lake County works to provide inclusive access to quality educational and cultural experiences for everyone. Our exhibits and the Planet Fun store are now open.
Admission to our exhibits is always free. Clark Planetarium is open seven days a week.
Shows in our Hansen Dome Theatre and Northrop Grumman IMAX Theatre play throughout the day. Check our schedule for the latest show times.
Cosmic Light Shows (laser shows) play in the evenings every weekend. Check our schedule for the most up to date show times. Please be aware that late seating is not permitted to Cosmic Light Shows due to the type of lasers we use in these shows.

Visitor Hours
Exhibits are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. For shows in the Northrop Grumman IMAX Theater and the Hansen Dome Theater, check our schedule for the latest show times. You can buy theater admission tickets here.
Getting Here
We encourage you to use public transportation whenever possible.
- Utah Transit Authority (UTA) has a Planetarium Stop, directly east of our front door. In addition, UTA has several bus routes nearby.
- Visit rideuta.com for schedules, maps, stops and fares.
You’ll also notice a number of easy, affordable and fun shared mobility options in Downtown Salt Lake City, including GREENbike (Salt Lake City’s non-profit bike share fleet), as well as motorized scooters from Bird, Lime, Spin and Razor. Parking
Convenient underground parking, with two direct entrances to Clark Planetarium (on Levels 0 and -1), is available in the Gateway’s South Parking Garage. The most convenient parking entrance for Clark Planetarium is off of 100 South between 400 West and Rio Grande Street (450 W).
