Elections
Voting In Person
IN-PERSON VOTING
- The Legislature has determined we will be able to offer in-person voting for the General Election at locations throughout the county. However, because of COVID-19, we are encouraging voters to vote by mail.
- Early voting and Election Day vote centers will be available to accommodate voters who did not receive a ballot.
- Identification is required to vote in person.
- Vote centers are generic and a voter may use any center in the county regardless of where they reside.
- The list of locations will be on the website when the contracts are solidified.
VOTERS WITH DISABILITIES
- Voters with disabilities who need special accommodations may contact the Election Division to make an appointment by calling 385-468-7400.
IN-PERSON VOTING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Salt Lake County and all the counties in Utah are on a vote-by-mail system. For this election, in the midst of the pandemic, it is going to be more difficult to accommodate in-person voters. We are encouraging voters who have received their by-mail ballot to use it. The in-person vote centers are meant to accommodate those who did not receive a ballot in the mail or need ADA accommodations.
Your ballot can be returned by mail (first-class postage paid) or deposited at any of our 21 drive-up ballot drop boxes throughout the County:

Pursuant to Salt Lake County Public Health Order voters are required to wear masks.
Also, poll workers, voting machines and voters in line will be socially distanced by 6 feet.
